DS would currently love a dolls house, but I fear it may be too girly for him quite soon.
Is there anything that's more gender-neutral, iykwim?

Happyland! Early learning...or charity shops!
my DS2 had a pile of it for his second and third birthdays and now he is four and a bit and has most of the stuff they make, there is years of enjoyment in it for him yet. Now DD (just two ) has started to join in playing with him, there is a house, fire station, campsite, farm, post office - all on play mat (i could go on but i'm sure you get the picture by now)
HTH

Ah, now, we have quite a lot of happyland stuff that I got second hand from a mate, but none of the big bits of kit. Great idea

we use the playmat and house most - it turns into a farmhouse, castle hotel and all sorts. Oh to have the imagination of a 4yr old......

BTW if online put in "PARTY" as promo/offer code for 20% off. And if you havent already done it join their big b/day club. money off and a bit of free stuff

Have you seen the playmobil carry about play house? Its not too girly at all and opens you up to the wonderful world of playmobil...

Have you seen the "appartment" in Habitat - it's amazing, and includes the furniture

funnypeculiar · 06/01/2008 22:27

oohhh, more good ideas AND money off - thanks

We got ddthis for Christmas and ds (nearly 10) has played with it just as much as she has. I see that its out of stock at the moment though

funnypeculiar · 06/01/2008 22:37

Oh, somersetmum, that's lovely - and a bargain!
Mrs Fogi - can't find the apartment on habitat online - was it a recent buy?
