Any NEXT staff here? Can I do this with a NEXT gift card: order online, pick up in store, return and repay

So I have a blue card gift card from NEXT. These can't be used as payment online.

The item I want isn't in store. So I wondered if I could order the jumper online and pay by debit card.

Then take the jumper in store to return it and get my refund on my card.

Then immediately re buy the jumper with the blue card gift receipt.

It's an utter faff I agree! But just trying to think of a way round not being able to pay using the gift card online.

Not staff but I tried something similar and I wasn’t allowed, something about returns going back to the warehouse rather than on to the shop floor I think. It was a right pain in the arse.

As it turns out I can use the blue gift card online!
