Hello, prepared to be told I’ve just run into some bad luck…
I have spent 2 hours this morning chasing up on 3 companies for goods they should have delivered. All are a shambles in terms of being in control of their committed delivery dates and leadtimes. 1 company has tried 3 times now to send me the incorrect spare part. The second is a piece of furniture where depsatch date is now 2 months overdue and moved day by day back and forth for weeks and is now showing ready to depsatch 5 days in past - yet on their website it says they have 1 in stock they can deliver in 2 days time. Doesn’t seem to get through to them that I& that’s the case then why haven’t I got mine? 3 rd company accpet3d my order as in stock and after 12 days of me chasing admitted they never actually did have it in stock.
This is on top of me cancelling about 4 orders for stuff over last 3 months necuas3 of delays, oos, or whatever else the supplier tells me after I have paid up and ordered. It is taking 2 weeks to then get my money back with more chasing typically
I worked in supply chain until last year. I know about covid. I know about brexit import controls and issues, I know about shipping container shortages.
It is the sheer ineptitude or cynicism of companies that are accepting orders with misleading lead times or stock information, and then having really poor customer service to sort out. I am not saying they can fix all the issues, but they’ve been operating in this new environment for 2 years now and they should at least be planning into their systems the leadtimes etc needed in reality.
It defiantly seems worse than say 1 year ago.
I am sitting here feeling very pissed off and frazzled having wasted yet more of my time today trying to get resolution
Does anyone else think itches got worse? Anyone got any good ideas on how to reach out when customer Servive phone lines don’t exitpst and it Facebook message/email only. I resorted to sending an email to CEO email address this morning 😡
