Help me find these toy cars

When I was little, my brothers had those little tiny cars that have the wheels move, and some of them if you pulled back, would go forward on their own. They're made out of metal. My dd was playing with a couple at the baby clinic and loved it, so would like to get her a couple. Tried looking on Ebay but there's too much to go through, and was wondering if someone could help me narrow my search down. Thanks. xxx

I know what you mean.. bought one for ds.. but when I was in Barcelona (sorry!!)
Have you tried somewhere like past times.. or one of the galleries (V+A.. or I know.. I know the childhood museum in Bethnal green???)
They may all have websites.

I am not sure if these are the same but ELC do penny racers that you put pennies in pull them back and move on there own here

blossomhill · 14/11/2004 19:17

It only shows the main page. If you click on one of the ELC logos. Then go in the search section and type penny racers. They should come up.

Not all friction cars are the `pull back and go' sort though...some are push forwards and let go and they keep going, IYSWIM.

The Penny Racers are great BTW.

tammybear · 14/11/2004 19:28

thanks gingernut. think i might get the penny racers as well. they look really good and i bet dd would love them too

Yeah, the Bob the Builder vehicles are Friction Cars but you push them and they carry on going.
