Help techies!! Pls can anyone tell me where I could buy a pc like this for my mum...

I want

A desktop
With XP Home NOT vista
and a Wireless network card (though could buy a usb one seperately)
Delivery by Xmas (Dell have fallen down on this and can't guarantee it) or I can pick up eg pc world, though their cheapo Compaq one only comes with vista

Not too worried about spec as she only wants for internet access and word processing really, would rather have a brand I recognise unless you can convince me that one of these weirdly badged ones is good...

Your problem there is getting it with XP not Vista, otherwise I'd be able to recommend a host of places.

I would usually recommend Mesh for desktop PCs, but I've also used Novatech a lot in the past and never had any problems with them - they still do desktop PCs with XP installed. They're also very very helpful, and if you don't see exactly what you want, give them a call and they're usually happy to configure it for you.

Sorry, meant to say the Icon ranges on that page both come with the option of XP, although they're not particularly high end machines, but probably fine for anything other than gaming
