Has anyone bought their child a pogo stick?

And if so, do they use it? Do they love it?
Are you glad you bought it or has it been stuck at the back of the garage for the last 2 years.
As you can probably tell, we are thinking of buying 6 year old DS one for christmas.

We haven't, but what a great idea! I think our DS, also 6, might like it.

have just bought one - I can manage just 2 hops, dd (6.5) can't even manage 1
Now consigned to the shed till the spring!

We got one when my eldest was about 6. Hardly ever used. Very tricky.

I badgered for one for months when I was around 10 or 11.
I loved it for all of about 3 weeks.
But that's just me.

I found that I was hardly heavy enough to depress the spring bit very well so it was lots of tiny very fast hops till I crashed of it forwards.

My dad was very good at it though.

I had a space hopper too.....now that was cool!

My DS2 wants a zoingo boingo. He does try to use the pogo stick but finds it too hard.

5.5yo DD asked for one but we tried one out in the toy shop and she just couldn't do it. Haven't bothered buying one as a result.
