Need a new umbrella folding style stroller for school run, am sick of lugging my e3 in and out of the boot plus it fills whole boot.

DH 6ft and I'm 6'2 so would love to hear if anyone has recommendations for long handeled strollers.

Also needs to be robust enough for DS4 who is 2 1/2 has SN and not really walking much yet.

Maclaren Techno. We have one for our boot after using an E3 and it is really quick and simple. Handle height goes quite high too.

The highest handle height I can find is 107cm, it's ok but to be perfect it needs to be about 115 - 120cm!!

Maybe we can make some extensions

Hi Mega,I posted a similar thing in SN recently (I am not tall, but dd is outgrowing her current buggy, and she doesn't walk). They reccomended the Mclaren Major which is fold up/fold down and has a lightweight frame made of aluminium.I do not know the extent of your dcs needs but this buggy is suitable for children up to 50kg IIRC,so should last a while. It also looked quite tall in the photos(sorry haven't got dimensions to hand.)Costs about £249 with the accessories HTH.

dingdongMegaLegsonhigh · 03/12/2007 21:08

Helloooo wrinkley - yes I was thinking about the major too but he is stiil quite small so I reckon I can get away with a stroller for ab it longer.

Looked on mothercare site but it doesn't seem to have dimensions (it does for all other buggies) might google a bit.

It's also handy for bookbags and stuff!

I'm 6' and the Maclaren tourer (?) I had for DS2 had the tallest handles by far for me out of all the variety of pushchairs I had for the other 3. (The worst was a Mothercare one I had for DD2 - the handle only came up to my crotch )

dingdongMegaLegsonhigh · 03/12/2007 21:33

misdee is dazedandconfused aka lumpybumpymummy as she is only one I can find selling an XLR?
