is it a criminal offence to lie to royal mail about whats in a parcel

on tuesday i sent small package to a couzin in the parcel were a cda lucky charm and bracelet the lady at post office asked what was in parcel i said cd and lucky charm as i know from experience things go missing when being delivered by royal mail so didnt say anything about chain the item was sent recordeddelivery fiest class but couzin didnt recieve it i tried the royal mails tracking system but it doesnt recodnise reference number given to me

Only if you were trying to commit another crime like insurance fraud or sending drugs through the post.

They're just asking you to rule out their banned items. If you use self service it says are you sending any of these banned things it doesn't record what you're actually sending.

ok ill find out whats happened tomorow ill go to post office and ask why thetracking number isnt being recodnised
