I feel the need to organise my photos onto a new medium. DP is the IT guy in our house but his organisational skills don't exist. I'd be gutted if we ever lost everything, or if following a split I lost access to everything. So I've decided to take matters into my own hands.
I have an iPhone but for years I had Samsungs and before that it was memory cards from digital cameras. Up until DP and I moved in together I had a beautifully organised folder on my laptop mirrored to an external hard drive. Then he mirrored everything to his cloud (I didn't have one at the time) around about the same time as phones got smarter and now the various phones and holidays and everything are higgelty piggelty all over the place. I just hope I can find everything...
Currently we're (mostly) on OneDrive but I'm not fussed about staying there. Ideally it should work well with iPhone (i.e. back up automatically on wifi), but also on a desktop so I can get the legwork done with a mouse and a big screen and waste hours reminiscing.
So where do you back your photos up and what do you think is the best feature of that app?
