I’ve currently got a seat Leon (pcp) which I would like to trade in and buy a car outright.
Budget up to £8000 but ideally I’d like to spend less
One teenager just learning to drive and the other one is 15yrs
So I need a little run around Car that will be cheap(ish) to insure
Only do about 4000 miles a year. Most trips are local with the v occasional motorway trip.
Was thinking Fiesta or vw polo
Any thoughts on those choices or any other suggestions ??
Thanks in advance

Audi A1 or a mini?

I got a four year old 30k miles Focus for £7k, it's done fine for six years or so now.

Yy to the Focus. Ours is an 08 and is a dream. And it's a decent enough size to fit you all in together without being so big that it's a hassle for learners.

I’ve had a focus before and really liked it but thought fiesta might be cheaper.
Insurance for my daughter on a Seat Leon is about £1100 when she passes.Hoping I can get it cheaper with a different car
Thanks for the reply’s so far
Any thoughts on Hyundai?

I had a 63 plate 1.0l ecoboost fiesta (until it was written off Sad) and loved it. It comfortably fitted 3 dc in the back or 2 tallish adults (I’m 5ft10 and plenty of leg room). Zero RFT because it was 1.0l but the ecoboost gave it enough oomph to cope with hills or accelerate onto motorways etc. DC1 learned to drive in it and insurance wasn’t horrendous.
