Maybe a local indoor skate centre could advise?

I had this problem with my 5 year old dd, except in reverse. I wanted to get her the beginner roller skates - the Barbie Fisher Price ones, because there's no way she's ready for real skates. But they only go up to a (US) size 12 and she's a 12.5. She did get them for her birthday, but they're not going to fit for much longer. Even now we have to jam her sneakers into them. She could really use a new pair of sneakers (trainers), but I'm reluctant because they wouldn't fit in her skates.

I couldn't believe the lack of offerings for her age/size.

Toys R Us have:

Pre school ones - but maybe too small. Have various locks (3 stages) for the wheels until proficient. We have these for DD (2.5yo) and they are good. But no idea what size they stretch up too. Only £9.99 too which is good.

Argh - they only ones that say your DS's size though at Toys R Us are Barbie or Disney Princess ones Surely they must have a boys veriosn???

On Amazon they have these in a size 10. They look like trainers with wheels.

We got skates for ds from Argos. He's size 9 or 10, can't remember () and is on the next to smallest fitting for the skates. They're not branded, just grey/blue/yellow. Inline skates with removable 'trainer wheels'. Mid £20s - but then you add the pads and helmet...
