Stokke Sleepi and Stokke Sleepi mini

Greetings all,

Hubby and I are expecting in November and we were thinking of buying a Stokke Sleepi and the conversion kit to make it into the mini. I was wondering if anyone out there has one and could tell me what they think of it.

My primary problem with it is the circular sheets. Is this as big a problem as I think?

Also what is the mattress like? I've heard they're a bit too firm for when the baby is older.

Any advice/opinions would be appreciated.

Cheers!

We have one and I love it. The mattress is fine for my 14 month old - don't know about older than that...although I will say its not the best quality mattress, but due to the shape you are stuck with it.
With DS we had a traditional cot and got the best mattress available. This came with a waterproof removable cover and when I asked stokke about this, they said that there were found to be worse for baby (although easier for mum) as air couldn't circulate the mattress DS was 7 then so I bought what she was telling me!
The sheets ar fine - I often use just large flat ones (she is in the big cot now) or I bought 3 each of the fitted sheets from Stokke, expensive but worth it.
I loved having the mini cot next to our bed - we had a carry cot from the buggy downstairs for daytime naps so we never needed a moses basket. She was in the mini cot until about 6 /7 months.
Hope that helps!

We love ours, too. Ds is 2 now, and still sleeps very well in the bigger version - so the mattress must be OK. The sheet thing isn't a problem; regular ones fit OK.

Natural Mat Co do Stokke Sleepi shaped Mattresses. Not ideal as you already have to pay for the Stokke one given it is included but if it became a problem for your dc you could replace it.
