i quite like it cod, but don't think i'd wear it

codswallop · 13/10/2004 12:55

enid · 13/10/2004 12:57

I like the fur bit but not the elasticated bottom part, would ride up and be irritating

spacemonkey · 13/10/2004 12:57

the warehouse one is nice but the river island one is truly ghastly

peacocks one isn't bad!

bundle · 13/10/2004 12:57

hc, go to camper.com and the code is 45557 003, in direct search box

bundle · 13/10/2004 13:11

not exactly an investment buy, cod, more a fashion item

there was a lovely tie around your shoulders thing on gmtv the other morning, a sort of furry stole attached to pink satin that you tied in front. nicer than it sounds.....

codswallop · 13/10/2004 13:12

ok friend has eben around, she likes it but said it was too wide ont he hip s and waist
so it goes back

OP posts:
suzywong · 13/10/2004 13:12

that really would HAVE to be nicer than it sounds Bundle

Planning on knitting anything this season?

bundle · 13/10/2004 13:16

suzy i am mostly knitting for my well-dressed girls these days mainly because i hate how long grown-up things take. just finished dd2's bob rowan tanktop in a delightful raspberry ripple effect yarn. you tempted?

puddle · 13/10/2004 13:18

Bundle - I have my eye on those boots too. I adore camper stuff and my current pair of boots have just expired....(three years old and still universally admired)

hoxtonchick · 13/10/2004 13:19

are they the 45556 ones bundle? fabulous.

my jigsaw ones are a bit more delicate & have laces around the top. they're the boots in this picture, but you can't seem them that well.

bundle · 13/10/2004 13:20

puddle, how much are they, it doesn't say on the website (about £100 i assume). there is the other option, Clarks, the cheapo woman's Camper...

hoxtonchick · 13/10/2004 13:20

they're 172 euros i think. clark's had some v. similar ones for about 70 quid

suzywong · 13/10/2004 13:21

oh yes I would love to get knitting but for some weird reason only knitted one thing for DS1 and couldn't get the neck opening right so never bothered again

Maybe it 's a flashback to when my mother knitted me two trousers suits in the mid seventies, one blue and green and white and the other sparkly lavender. I do not wish to inflict a similar torture on my FBs

spacemonkey · 13/10/2004 13:22

suzy, i bet you knitted ds a sweep puppet didn't you

bundle · 13/10/2004 13:22

hc, not those, the ones with the leather tie things round your actual leg

yours look nice

hoxtonchick · 13/10/2004 13:25

ok, found them now, i was being dim. they're lovely. get yourself to the camper shop in covent garden!

puddle · 13/10/2004 13:25

Bundle I never think to look in Clarks any good? I have no uidea how much those boots are and am loathe to destroy my fantasy by finding out (new kitchen to pay for imminently)

suzywong · 13/10/2004 13:25

Sm are you refering to the line
"oh no. Don't buy him one. I'll knit him one'

bundle · 13/10/2004 13:25

i used to be crap at finishing and doing necks etc but have now got so many bloody books showing you how, i'm getting better. me & my sister had lime green (!) matching dresses (not knitted) with high necks and sheer sleeves. i'm sure my mum thought we looked fabulous..it was the 70s after all

spacemonkey · 13/10/2004 13:25

I am indeed madame

suzywong · 13/10/2004 13:27

DH has just given me a very quizzical look as to why I am gurning and snorting, SM. Then I told him it was you
He sends warm regards btw

anyway back to the coveted boots

bundle · 13/10/2004 13:27

puddle, clarks getting better & better, good value too.

suzy i could send you a copy of the bob tanktop it's in all seasons cotton, v quick to knit and bonus obviously of having no sleeves..

hc i'm tempted, but we have a gordon-brown-like prudence chez nous just now, dh would definitely notice

suzywong · 13/10/2004 13:30

thanks bundle but do you think it would suit eihter of my boys?
