Advice needed for a total novice, I need a 4-6 seater car, like a Honda FRV

My Honda FRV is giving up the ghost, it's been valued (online) at £650 but the clutch has gone and will cost around this much to replace.

It's my perfect car, we are a family of 4 and the 6-seater is great for extra people/space. I also need a decent sized boot.

I don't know anything about cars, so I don't know where to begin. Any advice?

Stick with Honda.

If a HR-V is too small, go with a CR-V.

Avoid the new 7-seat CR-V as the 2 rearmost seats are really only for kids up to the age of 5-7. Any bigger and their legs will be really squished for space.
