Is there such a thing as a tandem pushchair where one seat can face you and the other faces out?

YEAH, THERES A FEW WHERE YOU CAN CLIP ON THE BABY CARSEAT TO FACE YOU (sorry caps)
would that do?
tho they do say they shouldnt be in the car seat for too long... cant say it bothered me as i dont think we ever spent that long out with the pram anyway

hazygirl · 17/08/2007 11:48

we had graco tandem and car seat fits on rear seat to look at you and elder child can see can out but dont know if that suit you

I have seen one but it wasn't in this country. I did find this one - imagine!!

I'm trying to think where I saw the kind of buggy you mean - was Holland or Czech Republic I think. I'm sure they must be available here too.

preggersagain · 17/08/2007 12:05

the bebe confort one does that as does the peg perregeo duette chassis

Tranquila · 17/08/2007 12:14

i saw one in the street in italy once where the twos eats faced each other and the kids werehappily chatting/burbling away to each other... searched endlessly when mine were smaller to find one that wasnt the size of a house...in vain.

mine are all out of buggies now, pretty much. so i can stop looking for the perfect one now! lol.

not tandem but i have this one and you can have any seat eithre way. I have both facing me as i like to look at them. (cause i'm sure they are the most beautiful cjildren in the world )

Mercy · 17/08/2007 12:16

That's the one Angeliz!

It's great and very easy to push but the chassis is very bulky. Wouldn't fit into my ford focus i'm afraid.
Gorgeous though and people always do a double take on it.

Just looking at the first wheels angeliz.

Its exactly the same as the single Hauck Infinity we have atm.

I really wanted a tandem though for size reasons.

How do you findit getting through doorways and such?

They can face each other and you can drive the front wheels!

Most doors are o.k and i amaze people getting through a single School gate. Little corner shops would be impossible i guess (never tried as if i'm in a hurry there's a Spa down the road with double doors). It doesn't fit through my kitchen door though but i'm lucky that i can bring it in the yard and unload babies in safety before dismantling the buggie.

arghhhh it doesnt list retailers!

I have the bebe confort one and it is great.

It is quite bulky but if I take one of the seats off the chassis and put it in seperatly it fits in my mums's picasso.

Quite heavy though but the seats can face all ways. If you are a small person, it might be quite hard to handle but if not ideal. I am tall and love the fact that the handle height is so high (but is adjustable).

I bought it from Ireland as I couldnt get it here. Very stirdy pushchair and love the fact that they can both be facing me. Also good for when the bigger one is bigger as it converts to a single with a built in buggy board.

3andnomore · 18/08/2007 00:31

hm...mine was the other way around...the Babyseat was facing away and the Toddlerseat was facing me...however, I think it worked really well, and stuill does now, lol...as well, teh baby didn't care that much about seeing me, and my ms had plenty of interaction with me, whieslt out walking, and he certainly appreciated it.
I have this one
but there is a newer modle available and ther eis a UK distributor, look here

there is of course an option of carrying the Baby in a sling and just using a single buggy/Pram

Lubyloo · 18/08/2007 00:59

How about this one
Can be a single pushchair when you no longer need a double.
