Honda civic - car seats and boot space

We have been offered a free car by my dad - an old style 5 door honda civic and am considering whether to take him up on it. We currently have a Peugeot 307 SW which we bought nearly new a year ago. The peugeot is great, very economical, great to drive, fits loads in the back (including our massive mountain buggy and the rest, trips to the garden centre regularly). And it can fit 3 car seats across the back or 2 car seats and an adult.

How will the civic compare? Will it fit a mountain buggy without taking the wheels off? Does it take 3 car seats? We've got a maxi cosi priori and a maxi cosi rodi at present, but want to be able to fit a 3rd child in if we have one and if we take a friend out for ds1 or school pick ups etc. Ideally. But a free car would be quite a good deal, obviously

Definitely fits 3 car seats in the back(although I don't know about the specific ones you mention). Not sure about the mountain buggy. It wouldn't fit my Jane Slalom, even with the wheels taken off.

Thanks.

Hmmm, best check dimensions and see if it will fit, I'm not getting rid of my MB for anything! Might start another thread asking about mb & civic in particular

Is that the one the same shape as a Rover 400 ? If so it only had a lap belt in middle but good boot.
