Max Factor Masterpiece Mascara

Its on offer in Boots at the mo £6.99

Its blardy brilliant! It really does coat all your lashes, even the teeny ones (I no longer look as if I have eyelashes on only half of my eye)

REally easy to coat bottom lashes too (can be tricky!)

No clogging at all, appears to lengthen lashes and separates beautifully.

Go buy it.

LOL...I thought you might have found a moisturiser called "overrated rip off" or sommat!

colette · 09/08/2007 15:44

I use it Mamag didn't know it was on offer thanks

Nbg · 09/08/2007 15:45

I have this!

Dont you find you have black eyes very quickly though?

MamaG · 09/08/2007 15:50

not really nbg, do you rub your eyes a lot tho? I never touch mine as it irritates them (hayfever etc) so maybe thats why I still look like a princess at the end ofthe say and you look like a tramp?

doggiesayswoof · 09/08/2007 15:53

I like "increased interaction between bristles and lashes"

who writes this stuff?

Still may buy some though...

Nbg · 09/08/2007 15:54

Oh yeah thats it

I wonder if its to do with the concealer I use under my eyes.

Hmmmmm

expatinscotland · 09/08/2007 15:56

I've already tried it.

I still get black eyes like Nbg!

Arrgggh. I'm using cheapo Miss Sporty waterproof at present.

I give up! I've tried the lot - from Chanel to Lancome to L'Oreal.

All give me black eyes, so I'm going cheapo.

hatwoman · 09/08/2007 15:59

hmmm not entirely sure how much a recommendation from the make-up artist for Memoirs of a Geisha is worth. I suppose at least it's not foundation

hatwoman · 09/08/2007 16:00

expat - have you tried Rimmel? I too have been through the lot in my quest for non-claggy, smooth stuff and have found Rimmel to be the best (but am willng to try this geisha stuff just in case it's better)

expatinscotland · 09/08/2007 21:27

Yes. I still get black eyes! Durrrrr.

This Miss Sporty is going pretty well.

MamaG · 09/08/2007 22:35

Is it make up, the black eyes, or tired eyes?

OP posts:
MamaG · 10/08/2007 11:56

well?

OP posts:
expatinscotland · 10/08/2007 11:58

I don't know, but this Miss Sporty stuff is really, really good!

ghosty · 10/08/2007 12:00

MamaG ... I am a slave to mascara ...You know how some people can't go out without lipstick on, regardless of whether they have any other make up on? Well I am like that with mascara ... if I don't put any other make up on I have to wear that ...
I use a lancome one now but I feel like a change and need to economise a bit so I will go and see if they sell in in Aus ...

MamaG · 13/08/2007 08:56

I'm the same ghosty - being fair, I look terrible without mascara

OP posts:
MintyDixCharrington · 13/08/2007 09:04

the only mascara I've ever found that doesn't give me black eyes is lancome definicils

that is my verdict after a 15year search. I don't bother buying anything else any more!

expatinscotland · 13/08/2007 09:08

I tried Defenicils - same result!

SOB!

Actually, this Miss Sporty stuff is performing well, but we're still in the honeymoon period so watch this space.

MintyDixCharrington · 13/08/2007 23:33

really? Definicils?

You must have wierd tears. I blame the crocs. (And yes, I did see that thread, I'm just choosing to ignore it. Much like your sainted chic mother who I'm sure I'd have MUCH in common with if I ever met her )

tranquilamanana · 13/08/2007 23:42

Clary · 13/08/2007 23:46

Yes I have this amazingly (I say amazingly because I never have anything fancy).

I liek it very much and in fact would repurchase

tranquilamanana · 13/08/2007 23:50

what? which one youhave?
you ahve to clarify woman

brimfull · 13/08/2007 23:54

I've stopped wearing mascara on my lower lashes, also makeup lady said be careful of your under eyemakeup or moisturiser getting on your lashes and causing it to run.

There you go,problem solved

Clary · 13/08/2007 23:55

oh sorry i mean max factor one as in geisha film.

ladymac · 13/08/2007 23:56

Agree with Tranquila, Clinique Naturally Glossy.

Brown mascara so much better on blondes and redheads.
