have just had a quote from Sharps (if we pay by cash) for 5,500 which is supposedly around 61% off full value. I believe they have a great reputation and we do have a fairly large bedroom. would you pay this though?(hubbie could probably do it himself but would take about a month to complete and don't think i could take the stress of it all!!!)!!!

ok so it's not as exciting as going on a holiday/cruise...which was my sentiment when i heard the price....!but we really aren't sure whether to go for it or not. looks lovely in the brochure and the guy did a really good drawing and seemed very professional. still don't know whether to take the plunge or not though. what would you expect to pay for a fitted-bedroom?

are you sure you want a fitted bedroom? You could get seperates for far less and you have the option of moving them... Get a few quotes from carpeters etc. though, they should undercut Sharps.

We got our units from Ikea - 4m in length x 2.4m tall for about £500. We paid a carpenter to install them, but it was part of a bigger renovation, so I'm not sure of the actual cost. It took him 2-3 days to do the work.
