We're making plans to re-test baby bouncers/rockers/swings for our reviews section and we'd love to know which ones you'd recommend.

If you've used and loved a baby bouncer in the past few years, post the make and model on this thread. We'll use your suggestions to put together a shortlist of products to test out and recommend to parents.

Also, if you have any tips on what to look out for when choosing a baby bouncer/rocker/swing please share them on this thread. We'll include these comments in our buyer's guide

Thanks!

Fisher price rainforest here too!! An absolute godsend and has lasted so well. Have tried a few good ones though. All the ones with motors in were loved by ds!
Never understood why the baby bjorn ones that dont rock on their own get so much love?! You can get one the same without having to move it yourself!

Baby Bjorn. Simple but does the job. A good safe bouncer that's very stable. Easy to put baby in, no fiddly uncomfortable straps, the fabric is easy to remove and wash (and is oeko tex certified so you know it's safe for baby unlike those horrible plasticky covers on some bouncers / rockers). It folds pretty flat too, which is great for storing out the way under the sofa or taking in the car for days out to visit family.
Only negative is it's a bit pricy but We bought in a sale and when we finished with ours we sold it on for almost as much as we'd paid in the first place.

Baby Bjorn. At nearly five months my son can bounce himself in it. It's just brilliant

Jencottage · 25/06/2019 18:17

Another baby bjorn vote here ! Great bounce, no tacky bits and great resale value !

goldpendant · 25/06/2019 20:12

Bjorn!! Just loved it. Sturdy, solid, really soothed both my kids.... it's now doing round 3&4 with my DSis

BertieBotts · 25/06/2019 21:39

Another vote for the "pillowcase over a coathanger" type - sorry I have no idea what brand that would be though, because I had such an ancient one for DS1 that the label had completely faded. The bouncer we had for DS2 was rubbish compared to that.

I've just been and looked through the selection on Mothercare and Argos and there is nothing like it any more except for the overpriced baby bjorn Confused All the cheap ones now have too short of a foot rest and the angle of them is too upright. And too many toys stuffed in the baby's face.

Chicco hoopla! The only place baby ds would happily settle. Very comfy seat and easy to clean. Also folds flat for storage and has an adjustable back rest.

Float bouncer. Very basic. Two hanging cloth-covered toys. Had a screw missing but department store customer service was efficient at sending out another. Dd was happy enough in it.

Joie Serina 2 in 1 swing best thing I ever brought 👌🏻

LaurenElizabethJayne · 26/06/2019 04:50

The Joie Wish bouncer. It has 2 vibrate settings and the only chair my LO will sleep in. She barely even settles in any other chairs but loves that one even with no toys attached to keep her amused. Also great for refluxy babies as can be titled so they are almost completely upright but doesn't have to be in that position so can be titled back so they can sleep too. Love it!

Orangepear · 26/06/2019 06:29

Baby Bjorn. Folds flat to keep under the sofa, is very portable. I used to take it with us swimming to put DC in while i got changed.

PFB2 · 26/06/2019 06:29

Another vote for the Tiny Love Rocker Napper.

My DD slept in this all the time during the day. Amazing to have a bouncer that converts to a safe sleeping area so easily. When she was newborn, we often sat a sheepskin liner in and she would lay on that and sleep for hours. She also loved the songs and the little toys would keep her interest for a good while. Highly recommend!

Baby Bjorn. Only one shed go in. Got the n second hand then sold on for same price for it for!

SinkGirl · 26/06/2019 10:54

Baby Bjorn Balance - got them when my twins were 7 months and used them until they were two and they were my most essential item. Unlike other bouncers they need very little movement to bounce. They were also great for feeding both twins at once!

Before that, we had two 4Moms Rockaroos which saved my sanity.
