Baby backpacks - Phil & Teds any good?

Hello, we are about to purchase a baby backpack (where the baby sits on top) and there are so many on the market to choose from. Now, we already have our buggy and loads of stuff from Phil & Teds so wondered if we should just go with theirs.....anyone got any advice to support the Phil & Teds/suggestions on alternative brands which are better?

Any advice appreciated

Have you checked out the Mumsnet reviews ? Might predate the P and T one.

I have just bought the p&t one (metro) - it's brill!! Shame dd isn't a bit lighter!!!

Thanks for the advice!

Excellent idea re the reviews, and good to hear the p&t is also a good option.

I think we'll see if we can try the number 1 from the review (bushbaby) and the p&t and then get either one of those.

i take it that the likes of a mei tai or ergo is just not cool enough / too lentil weavery for the P&T devotees?

amazonianwoman · 09/07/2007 12:32

Don't know if it's cool or lentily, but the Ergo is infinitely more comfortable than any framed back carrier I've tried

I'm not very lentily and not too uncool for a 40yr old, and I like hiking too

Thanks guys for all your responses: We will check out all those mentioned. Comfort and function is the key, so don't care on branding. (Or whether it matches with the buggy or not)
