from priciples have three metal decorative things on each shoe and one has dropped of.I have only worn them once and that was indoors last weekend.
Don't thnk I still have the receipt though.

all you can do is take them in and see tbh - though, they should offer to replace/repair them at the very least. I'd be surprised if they refunded you without a receipt, even if they are faulty (they will no doubt go on about how do they know you've only worn them once, did they catch on something etc etc)

Did you pay on a card ? If so any statement can be used as proof of purchase if needs be but chances are they'll exchange without anyway.

If they have a Priciples tag/label on they know you brought them.

You don't need a reciept to return something that isn't fit for purpose (i.e. faulty). You are not entitled to cash w/o reciept so will probably have to accept exchange or vouchers

Update-took them back today and was offered an exchange.So bought a gorgeous bag instead.Dh was not impressed as it cost twice as much as sandals...oops.
