The worst part is, ds is nearly 2! Damn, could have done with knowing this last year, they are exactly the same.

Come on, come on, share all your secrets and we can all benefit!!!

As they were 6 years ago when Morrisons were still Safeway!

Buy generic drugs, rather than branded ones - Value Health antihistamines (on the bottom shelf in Boots) cost under £1 for one week's-worth, whereas the branded stuff (on the eye-level shelf) cost over £2, but are manufactured by the same licencee.

I am convinced that Lidls nappies are so blardy fantastic the there is something wrong with then.

Apart from the fact that my precious first born had to have pampers/huggies. Until I realised that pullups from Huggies were crap compared to pullups from Lidl as he leaked in the Huggies. We bought them by chance as its the nearest store to us.

Admittedly they don't do newborns unless your baby is a fat fucker (size 3), but their nappies have never leaked and are a darn sight cheaper than the others.

moneysavingexpert has a whole thread in the forum about this

I've been buying them for ages, they're great!

saltcod · 19/06/2007 22:19

another morrisons nappy user here... I actually find them better than huggies for stage 3!

colditz · 19/06/2007 22:21

Their pullups are fab too - £4 for 22!

Most own brands are actually made by the big brands. For example I am sure that one of teh 'economy' branded beans are (or were) actually made by Heinz. They just don't use the same recipe.

I have never heard of things being identical.

Oh and absolutely about generic medicines. Just make sure the active ingrediant is the same and you are laughing.

Oo yes Lidl's pull up nappies are fab, the best I have tried. DS wears them to nursery, 3 hours and neve leaked. Have that yucky smell though in the morning if worn overnight gah!! But all disposables do.

Boots nappies are Huggies too.

co-op crisps are golden wonder (DH has them go through hisoffice)

bramblina · 20/06/2007 21:32

Oh yes and Tesco's own cheesecake mix is Green's. Same sachets inside the box. But half the price.
