I have fallen in love with this pushchair in the truffle colour but need to know what its like for real as I am only looking at pictures.
Any comments? Good and Bad?

bad

seat is really shallow

harness is cr*p (free roaming like on plikos, but with no bumper bar gives the child too much roome to move about and throw them selves out of the buggy

wheels are too small

basket is next to useless.

bambino1 · 26/05/2007 21:58

Don't like it then misdee! Did you actually have one?

Anyone else had experience with one?

bambino1 · 26/05/2007 22:25

OP posts:
Ceolas · 26/05/2007 22:25

Now that is lovely

the petit canari fabric? I wish it fit in my car!

bambino1 · 26/05/2007 22:30

Yeah just been looking at it!
Although I searched it and there are some threads that aren't too good or impressed with it!
Do you think there are any pushchairs out there that are just perfect?

OP posts:
Ceolas · 26/05/2007 22:32

perfect?

no. I have spent the last 5 months looking!

misdee · 26/05/2007 22:33

ziko alfie has the same harness.

misdee · 26/05/2007 22:33

bugaboo!!!

mine just sold!

bambino1 · 26/05/2007 22:33

what is different with the harness on a maclaren to a M&P?

OP posts:
Ceolas · 26/05/2007 22:34

misdee, DH is smitten by the 'engineering' of the bugaboo!

Says we can get one if I sell the Stylo!

bambino1 · 26/05/2007 22:34

bugaboos are so expensive though. Its our 2nd baby so don't really want to spend out a fortune.

OP posts:
misdee · 26/05/2007 22:37

ooo well done!

thwe bugaboo is quite simply so well designed. i hated them, thought they were overpriced tatt tbh. but then i started my rear facing buggy search and it ticked al lthe boxes. i tried one in john lewis, put dd3 in it and thought WOW!

i did have to mentally get past the price tag and how much it was worth though. the first few times iwas very aware i was pushing £600* RRP of baby kit.

*please note, i did not pay the RRp for it, it was a lot cheaper.

Ceolas · 26/05/2007 22:38

Glasgow Pram centre are doing a free maxi cosi, so not quite £600!

misdee · 26/05/2007 22:38

the harness on m+p are 'freeroaming, they are not attached to the buggy at the shoulder points.

they work well on plikos, but not on their lighter strollers which dont have a bumper bar.

bambino1 · 26/05/2007 22:42

Oh I don't know. Maclarens are just a bit boring! I'm not going to find out what we are having so would have to go for neutral colour. Such a hard decision!!!!

OP posts:
Ceolas · 26/05/2007 22:43

Pramette?

misdee · 26/05/2007 22:44

pramettes are lovely.

bambino1 · 26/05/2007 22:44

My very pregnant friend has got one and it is just beautiful but I wanted something a bit more light weight.

OP posts:
Ceolas · 26/05/2007 22:45

It's pretty light. 9kg?

I don't think you'll get lighter without going to a Maclaren.

bambino1 · 26/05/2007 22:47

My DH is having a go now for looking into this too early. I'm only 11 weeks. I will look into it again in a few months. Thanks for your help ladies.
