Here on the Nursery and Toys website. £25 instead of £50 (and I'm sure I've seen them for more elsewhere)

I've linked to the JCB one but there are others there too.

Its a bit of a bastard to put together unless you're good with picture diagrams though -I'm having a well earned glass of wine now

Ooooh my dd2 would love that. Will it be ok for a 3 yr old? It just says 2+

BettySpaghetti · 17/05/2007 22:15

We've bought it for DS's 3rd birthday (not until the end of next month but bought it whilst in stock and then thought we'd better put it together in case there are any bits missing).

It will be plenty big enough for him -instructions say up to 50kg!!

That sounds great. DD2 will be 3 in July!

tortoise · 17/05/2007 22:27

Now i have gone and spent £41 plus £10.50 P+P!!
There are some good bargains in the sale bit.

BettySpaghetti · 17/05/2007 22:28

oops sorry

There are some great deals aren't there? What else did you get?

Play shoes for both DD's. They have broken most of their old ones!
Big pot of good Bubbles (£5 instead of £15!) and blowers for all 4 dc!
And the digger!

Gobbledigook · 17/05/2007 22:47

Ha ha - just ordered the blue tractor and trailer for ds3's 3rd birthday in August.

Job's a good 'un!

Thanks for the link!

HELP!!

moulimoo · 24/05/2007 20:11

thanks for the link, you just saved me lots of money. bought the blue tractoe and trailer for £25. Its £39.99 in Argos!

BettySpaghetti · 24/05/2007 20:11

Oh no! Have you contacted Nursery and Toys?

Mind you the instructions were so complicated (diagrams only) I'm not even sure they were helpful

If you don't have any luck CAT me and I'll photocopy ours and send them to you -its not a problem as we stil have them.

OP posts:
tortoise · 24/05/2007 20:27

No not contacted them yet. Only just had a chance to open it while dd2 is in bed!
Would probably be quicker to get them from you if thats ok?
Thanks.

BettySpaghetti · 24/05/2007 20:29

Yes no problem -CAT me with your address, I'll get them photocopied tomorrow and pop them in the post to you

It was the yellow JCB one you got wasn't it?

OP posts:
tortoise · 24/05/2007 20:40

Yes it was the yellow JCB. Thanks.
My email is [email protected]
Is it easy to put together? Is it possible to describe without pictures only i have the box open and no where to hide it!

BettySpaghetti · 24/05/2007 21:06

It wasn't "easy" (although DP would say it was but he wasn't the one that did it, I did ). I wouldn't want to try and explain it though.

Its a case of getting your head round the diagrams, making sure you've got the bits the right way round ( Tip - look out for the ! symbols in triangles) and putting the bits on the axels in the right order.

ps -have emailed you

tortoise · 24/05/2007 21:08

ok Thanks. i will have to tape the box up and cover it with a towel or something! I just need to make it to check its all there then put it in the loft. DD2's birthday isn't until the 25th July! Not sure i will be able to resist giving it until then.

BettySpaghetti · 24/05/2007 21:18

We built DS's one to make sure all the bits were there too. Its currently in the cupboard under the stairs behind a filing cabinet so no chance of him finding it!

BettySpaghetti · 25/05/2007 11:34

I've just posted the instructions (first class and from the PO where they have frequent collections so you should hopefully get them tomorrow).

I will look out for a thread cursing self-assembly toys

tortoise · 26/05/2007 17:28

Thanks Bettyspag. Instructions arrived today. I may attempt construction tonight after DD's are in bed!

BettySpaghetti · 28/05/2007 15:01

Are you still building it Tortoise?
