Searching for our next car, and we'd really like one that can fit an adult in the back centre seat between two large car seats (Britax DualFix and Britax Kidfix 2) - so ideally three full size seats in the back with three three-point belts (and isofix for two outer ones). We only have two kids but do a lot of long journeys and I like to be able to sit in the back now and again, and we also like to be able to take the grandparents out without having to take two cars.
So we're looking for a car to last us the next few years which can accommodate an adult in the back between two seats, ideally as compact as possible as we live in London with no off-street parking so nothing too gargantuan and no seven seaters.
Not a Citroen Picasso - we hired this for a fortnight and while it was great space-wise my partner didn't enjoy driving it.
Parking sensors and roof windows a bonus!
Does what we are looking for exist??
We test drove the Kia Sportage and liked it but not sure it will accommodate the two car seats plus adult. Also like the look of the Honda CR-V, Ford C-Max, Peugot 5008 but not had a chance to view them in person yet. Renault Scenic looks like it may tick some boxes too.
Any thoughts on these or recommendations to add?
