No really.
I have over 300 quids worth sitting under my stairs at the mo, and am really fed up and p**d off as my dad was supposed to be fitting it for me, but keeps putting it off.

Dp keeps saying he could do it, but i'm not so sure, as he is really crap at DIY and i have seen others attempts at laying it, and it's looked terrible.

Everyone keeps saying it is easy, but how easy ??

ahem - vouchers?

what have oyu wpent htem on

Is it a square room?

The tricky bits are round the door frames and any round bays should you have them. Other than that, it's pretty easy. With the door frames, you're meant to saw some of the bottom to slide the laminate underneath!

All the cut edges are at the edges of the room and will be hidden by a strip of beading when you're finished.

Coddy - We have so far spent the vouchers on paint, and are saving the rest to put towards the kids bedroom furniture.
Got the flooring from floors to go.
Believe me if B&Q did a fitting service, i would of used them for that

Sd - Yep square room ish, one bit that he would have to cut round, but still square, no pipes or fiddly bits.

colours?

nutcracker · 22/07/2004 17:30

So far we have Liquer for the living/dinning room, pale blue for the bathroom, and some yellow one for the kitchen.

Without you guys though we'd have been so stuck, thanks again.

All i need now is for Dp to actually get stuck in.

dont know about laminate as my friend did mine but mosiac is an absolute s**t. (took me two days to floor a metre) if its click and not glue then i beleive thats easier. dont forget the expansion gap though unless you're ripping off the skirtings aswell.

I did our bedroom in under 4 hours - once you've got the hang of it, it's not too bad, honestly!

Alternatively, ring up your local carpet shop and ask them if they fit laminate floors - chances are they will.
