There isn't a shop near me, but there's one near my dad's so will save buying the kids shoes for when we visit him.

Aah - that's lovely. So glad you had a good experience - you've had such a tough time recently (am welling up here too ).

Can I second your recommendation I have used both clarks and Russell and Bromley (they stock startrite). The service I have always got from R&B can not be faulted. They give you all the time you need, alwayes polite and alwayes, shoe are double checked by manager. Clarks on the other is rushed and pushy, not nice.
