Astonish Oxygen removes anything, even poncey pomegranate juice stains

Thanks F&Z. Is that the stuff where you just put a scoop into the drum? Will buy some tomorrow, after having just thrown away another pair of perfectly nice school shirts because they come home covered in indelible baked bean juice every day...whether she's had baked beans or not, bizarrely. Grrr...

it is scarily good isn't it?

FrannyandZooey · 03/04/2007 17:54

No, it is vicious stuff that you have to make a solution of and then dab on the stain, and it fizzes alarmingly

I was freaked out by the whole affair and told dp it was boys' work

But it worked where others have failed

I am digging out all the clothes that should have been chucked over the years because they have stains on, but I couldn't bear the waste of it

I will report back on how it fares with ancient tomato stains, later

will it get rid of black marker pen marks that DS1 comes home with on his school shirts every day?

Where can I get some?

I bought a carpet stain remover the other day because in big letter's 'SHOCK! A STAIN REMOVER THAT WORKS!'.

I tried it on the stain on my carpet. It didn't work.

SHOCK!

FrannyandZooey · 03/04/2007 18:00

Ooh yes felt tip stain on the beautiful top HC bought for ds

must try that one too

It is probably hideously un eco friendly

but how eco friendly is chucking out perfectly good clothes?

I will make comprehensive report in the fullness of time - however I can state that after 20 mins of scary fizzing the entire stain was completely gone, and we had to wash it off quickly as it looked like the shirt might start to disintegrate with the sheer power of it all

ooh

have had no luck with vanish despite all the 'trust pink' malarkey

or that oxygenny stuff in a yellow tub

will await the tomato update with bated breath

of course though I only use sunlight and lemon juice to get rid of my stains I am so pious

FrannyandZooey · 03/04/2007 18:08

Am telling dp he needs to mix up more scary fizzing stuff right now because Mumsnet need to know whether it really works on everything

he is looking like this:

but with a beard

My dp is so eco-friendly i seriously have to hide all the nasty chemicals in a box under some junk in the utility room.
