Waterproofing wooden furniture

Best product to apply to a wooden kitchen table which is now going to live outdoors. Any ideas anyone?

Yacht varnish I should think.

We just did my new garden bench in teak oil. Dont think it would work well on varnished wood though.

Thanks! I don't think it was ever varnished. Its pine and more than 30 years old so any original varnish there may have been has probably worn off by now!
