Which MPV?

We want to buy a new car- upgrading from a Ford Focus.
We are thinking of a Ford Galaxy or Grand Scenic. ATM we have two dc but will probably have at least one more and they are likely to all be in forward facing car seats at the same time.

We are driving to France this summer and we want to transport bikes too.

(dh hates the Zaphira with a passion so no point trying to convince him on that!)

If you have an MPV, which one and what do you like/dislike about it? Would you buy the same again or a different one?

Also we will not be buying a brand new one- probably 3-5 years old.

We have a Kia Sedona, DH loves it because it looks snazzy, DCs love the built-in roof-mounted DVD player, we found it good value compared to other similar models.

we had peugot 807 when it was a lease car and loved it but its expensive to runwe now have a 5 year old galaxy and its ok, dh loves it, i find it hard to manouver and to park in the village. also think about cost of tyre, we had to fork out £200 aftera motorway blow out (1 wheel plus balancing etc). i think someone like mse might do a comparison on running costs which might be useful

Love my Scenic - am changing it to the Grand Scenic soon. Had it 5 years - never had a problem.

My best friend had one - she totalled it in heavy rain on the motorway - the outside of it was unrecognisable but she and family walked away without a scratch. She tested its NCAP safety rating and proved it deserves its 5 stars!!
