Do you use a protective spray on dry hair before using hair straighteners?

I use mousse/sparay then blow dry, then use straighteners.

Should I be using something else on it when it's dry before straightening and if yes, what?

GHD booklet says something about their oil spray onto dry hair. Dunno what that is.

i use toni and guy straight and protct its really good about£6 for a big bottle from boots but lasts me about 3 months and i do my hair about 5 times a week i use it before blow drying and before straightning

I highly rec Aveda serum before you use flat irons, and GHD are the best as they dont dry your hair out, and they get to a certain temp and then dont get any hotter
