Cant buy kindle books on Apple Products?

Is this right? Tried to download some books recently and it says 'this item is not available for your device' - is this new? How do I buy kindle books now? Tbete's nowt on tinterweb warning of this! Do I have to buy a kindle reader now or subscribe or join something? It doesnt say 'do this to read this book.' Highly pissed off.

Just don't use Amazon app. Log on to desktop site. You can do this on your phone

You can download the kindle app. Works on my iPad.

Go to the kindle store and save it on your device so it looks like an app. Buy your products and then they can be instantly downloaded to your device.

Yes, Im usi g the kindle app & the Amazon App. Is the Amazon App broken? Ill try logging in using Safari.

I can't buy kindle books on my Amazon app on the iPad.
If I go to the Amazon website, or look via kindle store it all works fine, just the app is a bit wonky.

Apple have it set up that way so you can't buy any ebooks or audiobooks on any other apps but theirs it's to try and take away the competition from amazon but it's not really working I just have the safari tab saved to look like an app and I don't even notice it!
