9 year old cannon gas cooker, oven gone wrong

So dh just says not worth even getting anyone out to look at at (90 pounds callout), but now I've got to find £420 to replace it.

Would you try to get it repaired, or just go into debt to replace?

You should be able to get a cheaper call out that that. When my oven broke I got a man to look at it and price up the repair. he charged £15 which was taken off the bill if you went ahead and had the work done.

We spent less than £100 having our Parkinson Cowan repaired about 8 years and it is now 16 years old and still functional !
