Nintendo help!

My three now all want a Nintendo each for their birthdays which I can`t afford! So all the family are willing to chip in instead of individual presents. I know nothing about them, being an "older" parent, so help please! What is the best one to get, do they come with games, which games are good, are there any offers around? Thanks, birthday on the 27th.

mine dont use the stylus much

Mine used the stylus mostly with their first game which was nintendogs - you use it to stroke, walk and feed the dog but their other ganmes don't need it much.

Hi Justustwo,
Yes it is the pink one, looked and looked everywhere. So annoying that some sites say in stock, you place your order then they say awaiting stock!

Hi,
Thanks but number 3 arrived today curtesy of a MN from game.com, just one game to get. Was annoyed today though as my local Woolies last week said there was no chance of getting me three by the 27th, today.........big display offering bundles for £105! Never mind, so thanks to all of you for your help.

Have got them a game each, Super Mario, Sims 2 and Labrador/retriever I am waiting for, which others do you recommend for 9yr olds?

Animal Crossing is wonderful.
You can have up to 4 people on it. I've got my own "character" and I leave DS messages (following tip from other mumsnetter I hasten to add) and he loves it. So far the messages have related to the game but I have plans to branch out into tidying your room, walk the dog etc.
