Yes you can- it's really easy and quick to do - I did most of our CD collection in front of the telly one evening, and I am by no means a technogeek, as DH will heartily agree! you can also select which tracks to download from your Cd, so if, like me, you have lots of chart compilations kicking around, you can choose the good gems you still like and ignore the endless duplications and chaff. Its like the world's best and biggest mix tape!! Also, itunes do a gift music facility, so you can ask people to send you downloads as presents. Have fun! I am completely addicted to mine!

Cheers for that FN

let us know how you get on... I agree its v easy. iir you just put the cd into the computer cd tray and away you gooooooo......!!!

DH's next plan is for me to get a transmitter and holder to allow me to put it into my car so I can listen to the cd's there. Thats what it was bought for as i don't have time to listen around the home. BUT at 35 weeks pregnant and as I have just stopped driving myself due to my size I don't need this for a while longer..!!

allofmp3.com is cheap & you can convert to itunes.

NoXmasNameForNomDePlume · 29/12/2006 20:20

itunes is very expensive to buy tracks from, 79p per song. The iTunes software disc should be in the ipod box.

I use a site called www.gomusic.ru. It is a russian site but you can view an english version. It is all legit and above board, single tracks are 7 US cents (about 3.5p!) and whole albums are around $1.10 (USD). Excellent value and I've never had a problem with the service, the files or the fact that they have my credit card details.
