Trousers for 39" inside leg, where apart from LTS?

A friend that has a 39" inside leg is trying to find new trousers. Does anyone know of any shops apart from Long Tall Sally that cater for tall ladies? I've found a couple of UK websites for her too. R

39"??? Are you kidding, Rhiannon?
LTS used to do 34" and 36" and have just stepped up to 35" and 37"; I am 6' tall with fairly long legs and the 36s are too long for me, never mind the 37s. How tall is your friend? How high are her heels????
Anyway tell her to look west. There are some v tall people in America and the regular mail-order catalogues over there (eg Sears, JC Penney) do some extra tall stuff - she may get something there. (I am just off to try google and will report back.)

I am also interested with what anyone else will find out !
I can sympathise I am a 36' leg and it is VERY difficult ! Actually I shop in the US a lot and it tends to be 35 and not 36'.... so except for GAP jeans.... everything I wear is too short.... and I am not a 39' !!!!

The La Redoute catalogue does some long leg versions. Also Levis 501s. There is a chain in Canada called "Tall Girl". I also buy men's track suit pants. Some of the high street shops now do a Tall range - e.g. Top Shop, Principles. Some of the JigSaw stuff is quite long as well - e.g. jackets if arms are also a problem. I am just over 6 foot so I sympathise. To be honest though I always end up going back to LTS (they do mail order!)

LKM - all the Tall ranges from regular shops are not tall enough IME.... I have ben caught several times regretting a purchase because they tend to be 35'' and not 36''.
M&S is a good example of that.

Also I haven't tried La Redoute but the French (and I should know Mum lives in France) are not very tall so I'd be amazed if it was long enough.

She's got legs up to her armpits! I think she's about 6ft 2. R

Apologies for double posting !

janh · 08/05/2002 16:03

pupuce, Long Tall Sally are doing 37 now in some of their pants and the rest go up to 36 - have you tried them?

pupuce · 08/05/2002 16:49

No... (at least not in the past 4 years) but I will - and there is a branch locally.... so I shall !

LKM · 09/05/2002 09:52

Pupuce, I haven't actually ordered from La Redoute so you may be right - what is 81cm? I have just checked my wardrobe and the "tall" pants I purchased were from Dorothy Perkins and were perfect for me but I am "only" a little over 6ft so might not work for others (not that I can fit them any more post baby!).

pupuce · 09/05/2002 11:00

Just measured my jeans and I need 86 cm... so it is amlost 2 inches too short !
I am only 5'11 but I have very long legs
