I'm thinking of getting Dh some clippers as part of his Christams present (woooohooo! luck DH eh?) but neither of us have ever used any before and I reckon I'm likely to be a bit of a klutz with them. Can anyone recomend a set for a good balance of functionality and ease of use. (Not a very entertaining question is it? sorry!)

we bought a set from tesco that cost £7 and they are very easy to use, otherwise check out argos, think they have 20% off on shaving stuff at the mo.

Cool - did the tesco ones have different length settings?

I got some great ones from Argos - think they are something or other ceramic (can't remember the name - Remington maybe).

I used to cut all my partners' hair - I started off with el cheapo clippers but they eventually died. I've used these Remington ones for years and they've been great. They are cordless and rechargeable as well - I find the ones that have to be plugged into the wall a bit of a pain so if you think you may get annoyed by that, it's something to consider when buying them.
