Have so far come across the Alligator onion chopper - any good? Does it work on anything other than onions? Anything else I should consider?

I cannot speak highly enough of my Pampered chef chopper. You sometimes see them on Ebay, in fact there are two on there now if you search 'pampered chef chopper'.

All the bits go in the dishwasher and they chop everything from onions to olives, garlic, carrots, chocolate. I use mine all the time.

Lakeland also do one - much cheaper and just as good (I have both PC and Lakeland ones !)

So do these gadgets do what food processors can't - i.e. dice rather than reduce to mush? Do you use yours as well as a food processor?

Wholeheartedly agree with mckenzie about the pampered chef rotary chopper - and yes, it dices rather than reduces to mush so does what a food processor doesn't

(and is smaller, lighter and easier to clean)

mckenzie, i have to agree with you, i have a Pampered chef one, great.

I don't think that my PC chopper does particularly well on onions, but love it for everything else.

I've got a moulinex food processor that dices rather than mushes things. It's pretty old now though as I acquired it from my Grandma when she was having a clear out.

My mum has something called a mandolin slicer (I think) which seems to work well.
