Kobo. Takes my books back to the library when I'm not looking!

Frustrating. 75% through a book today, and my battery died. When I charged it , it wouldn't load as I was outside of the library loan time. My fault. But without resorting to writing down the expiry time, is there any way of getting any advanced warning? I do try and keep it charged, but it doesn't seem to indicate when the battery is low. Does the same problem occur with other E readers? TIA

I get an email from the library asking me if I want to renew, a couple of days beforehand. Failing that, perhaps write down when it's due back and renew or reserve it to borrow again

That's interesting Duchess my library don't seem to offer that as an option. I maybe need to be better organised, as this has happened a couple of times now. I shall add it to my endless list of stuff. Thanks :)
