Bought a Sophie yesterday brand new in box etc. Washed it in warm soapy water today before giving it to little one. But now it does'nt squeak anymore. Has this happened to anyone else? And were you able to fix it? Thanks

Sophie doesn't like having a bath.
You are meant to wipe her clean.
Dry her out and hopefully her squeak will return.

Yes, it just because there's water inside. It'll dry out over the next couple of weeks and the squeak will return

Why did you wash a brand new toy though?

cantbelieveimonhere · 27/04/2015 18:59

Washed it as could have been dust from box etc and is going into baby's mouth

Sophie now dried out and laughing/sqeaking again! :)

Whatever you do, don't put her in the dishwasher! I killed ours Shock

Is that a normal thing? - washing brand new toys? "Box dust" would never have crossed my mind!!

Glad she's got her squeak back though!

Not washing brand new toy never entered my mind!!! Although it's a possible case of pfs! :) #sophie'sgothermojoback
