Swim jacket for a 15 month old baby

Wondering if anybody could help me find a swim jacket for my dd who will be 15 months when we go on holiday next month. My ds used one from about age 2 and is still in it now at almost 4 with a couple of floats taken out. He has gotton on so well with it I would like to find a v. small one for her! She doesn't really like armbands and the swim seats stop her being able to splash.
I've seen a Kooshies one in the new Bella Valore catalogue which is £26.99 which is for age 12 - 24 months. Sounds perfect but at £26.99 is at the top end of my budget!
Boots.com has a very similar Kooshies one for only £14.99 but their small is aged 2-3 yrs.
Does anyone have any experience of how these come up size wise or know of any other retailers?
Thanks in advance!

Try Googling, I did last year for a BIG one for my son and got one direct from, erm think it was Aquababes. One that is sold in all the shops anyway but not in v.big or v.small sizes.

I got a super float-suit (which is also high-factor sunscreen) from Urchin for ds, and have just ordered the smaller size one for 16mo dd. Admittedly the float-suits are at your upper range, but they are swimsuits as well. Urchin also have float-jackets.

This is probably a really daft question but do you put the float suit over a swim nappy?

SoupDragon · 22/04/2004 14:43

Yes you do

I got a float jacket last year from ELC. Think they were £25. But ds2 wore it all last year and is still wearing this year so not bad value really.

I've checked out the websites recommended but other than BellaValore they all seem to start at age 2-3. However, I wonder if the sizes just vary and maybe a 2-3 would fit her ok - I know that they do need to be quite snug though... I would be using it with all the floats so maybe that would be snug enough?
My ds who is 4 soon still wears his Konfidence 'small' jacket. It is very snug on him with only one float taken out but it is still too big for dd.
I think I'll probably buy the BellaValore one (it comes in pink!) as although it is a bit pricey she'll probably get loads of wear out of it and if not I can sell it on ebay!
One question - do you think that the majority of manufacturers don't make them for this age because it is hazardous for very small children??!
