can I machine wash clarks prewalkery type shoes?

they are suede abd leather

Yes, I believe you can, instructions should be on the inside, but I think Clarks advise no detergent though.

I wash and dry mine in a totally normal cycle with the rest of the laundry. The colors fade on the first wash, but otherwise they survive just fine. My dd is now wearing my ds's handmedowns, so they have probabably been done a dozen times at least.

I bought some last week and the label says you can machine wash them, but should not use detergent.
