Estate cars (not MPVs) which can fit 3 teens in the back?

We've had a Peugeot 807 since the dc were small but it's getting old and starting to get lots of niggly things go wrong.

Dh wants to replace it but wants a car this time not a MPVS

We've had a test drive of the Skoda Superb, the Audi A6 and the VW Passat and will be trying the Mercedes E class (? Not sure, but think that's right!), Volvo V70 and Ford S-Max next week (yes I know that's an MPV but it's a lot smaller than our current one)

We've discounted the Audi and VW as the back is way too cramped and poor dd (the youngest) would have to sit with her legs hunched up by her ears ...

We have two tall teenage boys and dd who's 11 but very tall too and dh who's 6'4" so legroom is a prerequisite - we also have a medium sized dog and often need to carry bikes. We usually drive down to the south of France in the summer so need something comfortable for long drives plus plenty of luggage space

Any clear winner out of our short list and any other models to consider? Haven't decided whether it'll be new or used - if new, maximum budget would be £30K

Tricky! Mercs are quite big. BMW 5 series estate? The Audi A6 Allroad is bigger than the normal A6 (I have one and recently got lent the normal A6 - much less legroom inside) so try an Allroad also.
