car to fit toddler, baby and 6ft4 dh

Hi folks looking for some idea of what to look for. Currently have a Fiesta but dh is seriously squashed in the passenger seat with toddler seat behind him. With the arrival of baby in June we've realised there's no room for him at all! Trying to find something spacious but still cost efficient. Does this car exist? Would have to be second hand. TIA.

We have a corsa and a grand cmax. I'm short, dp is 6"4, we put toddler behind dp and baby behind me. Dp usually drives, don't know if this makes a difference? Can also fit double buggy in corsa boot!!

Hi Notfastmainlyfurious, how tall is your dh? It might help Mumsnetters come up with suggestions if we knew this. If he's squashed in a Fiesta with a massive Group 1 toddler seat behind him, it's not that surprising and you might find that a lot of other cars fit your needs; but if he's especially tall then you might need more advice from others in the same situation.

OP said her DH was 6'4" in the thread title.

Skoda Octavia is my suggestion.

I have a Focus with an erf seat behind the passenger seat. DH usually just jumps in the back with dd when we drive together but is comfortable in the front too (6'2). What kind of toddler seat do you have?

Could you put the toddler seat behind the drivers seat?

Turn off airbags and put the infabt seat in the front?

Must have left my glasses somewhere, BikeRunSki - thanks for pointing that out …Blush

I think it doesn't help that he's all legs. I mainly do the driving (because he's pants) but in my last pregnancy I had spd and couldn't and this time maybe having elc so need something that ha plenty space in the back for both the baby seat and the toddler seat as dh will more than likely have the seat all the way back.

Dd is in a maxi tobi car seat which was fine til her legs started to get longer.

Will check the skoda out, thanks.
