I think the vit E is good for marks

I would try it if I had stretchmarks (considering it for acne marks when vile spots are gone )

NomDePlume · 14/07/2006 10:34

The blurb on the site says it is, but hell, they are bound to say that, aren't they ?

Have you thought about seeing a dermatologist for your iffy skin, E ?

(will carry on with Eve Lom and clinique anti-blemish gel for now, it has dried them out a bit and not many new ones appearing)

NomDePlume · 14/07/2006 10:37

(hopefully they are on their way out for you)

i wondered about the bio oil for my stretch marks.i am the stretch mark queen.my tummy is covered in them and they are vile.

NomDePlume · 14/07/2006 10:50

I have quite a few (more than I could count). I don't HATE them but they do make me feel self-conscious.

there is literally not a part of my tummy (lower0 that isn't marked. and they extend up to about 2 inches below my bust. when i was preg first time-i was the size of a whale and it cam,e on very suddenly and my skin just couldn't hack it.

NomDePlume · 14/07/2006 11:01

me too alexsmum, only mine only extend as far as an inch above my belly button.

NP, they always look better with a tan, but fake tan just looks poo on me and I can't be fecked to go through all the rigmarole. The only thing I've found that helps to reduce the obviousness of them is using a good bodyscrub with nut oils (brazil nut is particularly good, I've found) every other day in the shower. Then rubbing in an aloe vera body lotion really smoothes them out a lot but it is very much a temporary thing.

NomDePlume · 14/07/2006 11:06

typical, like everything else, stuff that makes you feel good is bad for you in the long run

i would try that bio oil ndp, it looks good

alexsmum · 14/07/2006 11:09

i don't care about norty it's finding a way to expose them to the elements without scaring the horses!!

I used bio oil while pregnant, and didn't get any stretch marks, not sure if the reason or not, but it smella and feels nice anyway, so I would give it a go!

jollyfolly · 14/07/2006 19:48

I used it when i was pregnant and (i consider my self exceptionally lucky) did not get any stretch marks at all.... but then niether did my mum when she had me so maybe it is just luck???

alexsmum · 14/07/2006 20:28

do you think it would work on chicken pox scars? ds2 has just had chicken pox and he has beenleft with really bad scars.

Carameli · 17/07/2006 10:09

my mum loves this stuff and has used it as a moisturiser for ages as she has really really really sensitive skin and rects to all sorts of lovely expensive creams. But thinks this is brill.

I have just started using it as I am pregnant and its lovely to use.
Also if you have a Superdrug they have the big bottle on special offer for £12.99(not sure when the offer ends though) its usually 14.99 in my Boots.

alexsmum · 17/07/2006 10:24

anyone any idea about the chicken pox scars? if it would work i might get some.
