What hoover do you use for your wooden floors? My massive upright is upwrong for my new house! Especially being 25 weeks pregnant!! We have white painted wooden floors in living room/bedroom/landing, lino in kitchen/bathroom, old bare red tiles in dining room with a bit of carpet everywhere else (yep, every floor going really) and I need advice...

  1. New hoover! Dyson Cylinder? Any other suggestions?
  1. Steam mops - they look so good on the adverts! But... with painted floors would one be suitable?

I understand how totally boring this is, but we went to Curry's at the weekend and hubby was not impressed when I didn't have a clue and just pointed at a mid-priced hoover and said "that one?".

Thank you

We have wooden floors in most of the house and I use a broom and then a wood floor mop - sort of big flat microfiber job- with wood floor cleaner in a squirty bottle .

I got a vax steam mop for mine. From john Lewis £30. Sweep then vax. Does the job well enough for me.
