I bought some of htese about a year ago for my DD and now a friend would like to get some for her DS. I thought I got mine from Mothercare World (too far away from me to go and see) but a search has proved fruitless. Does anyone know the cutlery that i mean and know where sells it please?

TIA

i have 2 bent plastic spoons, gave one to dd3 for the first time today, she was not impressed.

Medulla · 16/06/2006 20:41

Do you mean the ones in the Dr Miriam Stoppard range? If so I think you can buy them in Boots

Medulla · 16/06/2006 20:47

Ignore last post can't find them on the web site - sorry :(

mckenzie · 16/06/2006 20:50

they are the ones Medulla and it seems you can buy them from the Miriam Stoppard website so that's fine. Thank you

can I re-ignite this thread please as I am still after these spoons and it seems I was wrong about buying them from the website.

They are by miriam Stoppard and i've tried allthe obvious places. Now waiting for the website to pass my enquiry to the supplier to tell me where I an get them but if anyone on Mumsnet knows, thatr might speed things up a bit.

One gorgeous special needs chappy could really do with them to help him eat.

I have some unused chuncky purple/lime cloulored curved spoons one for left hand one for right and would happily post these if it would help, just cat me.

Also I bought something for similar that was a fork and spoon set for ds - came as part of a set with a bowl - bought them from superdrugs but it was about 3 years ago...

JackieNo · 10/07/2006 21:44

Is it these ?

JackieNo · 10/07/2006 21:47

If so, also here (scroll down to second item).

JackieNo · 10/07/2006 21:48

and here (scroll down to just over half way).

divamummy · 10/07/2006 21:56

had them from mothercare half price.

MrsSpoon · 10/07/2006 21:59

Are these any good?

hunkermunker · 10/07/2006 22:04

I had some of these. DS1 would only eat with them in the wrong hands so they pointed away from him and made the job of spooning yoghurt or porridge to his mouth MUCH harder.

mckenzie · 10/07/2006 22:11

teabelly - thank you. Will CAT immediately.

JackieNo - you are a star! Didn't think to try ToysRus.

Divamummy - I had got mine from Mothercare but the three stores that we've tried, including a mothercare world, no longer had any.
I shall take Teabelly up on her offer and then try ToysRUs for a spare set for Cameron if he can hold them okay. Fingers crossed.

the Miriam Stoppard spoons are utterly wank. The handles are waaay too big for little hands; just confused and upset DS. Ordinary stuff fine for him.

Know lots of parents who like the ordinary spoons with a dip in the middle to help scoop up scoff.

teabelly · 11/07/2006 18:22

Mckenzie - hi there - no CAT yet...can email me on saint dot greavsie at ntlworld dot com ...will post them as soon as I have an addy

mckenzie · 11/07/2006 22:28

not sure what happened then teabelly as i definitely sent you a message via CAT. Anyway, I've e mailed you directly now. Thanks again, very very much.

Highlander - the chappy that they are for has huge hands, it's part of his condition. This is why we think these spoons will help him.

im after some 'bent' stuff too but havent seen a link on here for the ones i mean. i want the ones i had when i was little.
they had yellow handles and were not thick they were slim and almost bent into a c shape.
does anyone know the ones i mean? the actual spoon part and the fork prongs were metal with rounded ends of course.

teabelly · 12/07/2006 22:50

McKenzie - have emailed you, both your email and CAT now arrived Will post spoons asap tomorrow.

mckenzie · 13/07/2006 11:54
