Can you give us an idea of how old your children are, fairimum, plus your budget and whether you're planning to buy a new car or a used one? That might help get the cogs whirring ?

hi, sorry, the children are 5, 3, and 8 months and have about £5k to spend so second hand! Thinking maybe berlingo is everyone will fit! Think need the back to be big enough to be caged for the dogs!
thank you :)

Old Volvo 850 estate? The ultimate reliable banger according to Autocar.

fairimum · 08/06/2013 23:03

nowhere to put the buggy in a normal estate and could do with 2 up 2 down fitted cages in the back. so many a berlingo type car, but ideally a bit bigger? is anything a bit bigger? but can they tow?

An estate car and a proper dog trailer for that many dogs? Confused

Ilovemydogandmydoglovesme · 08/06/2013 23:15

Like this?

They don't cost much and your dogs can travel in air conditioned safety and comfort. Especially of you do a lot of competing and travelling.

fairimum · 09/06/2013 12:25

no as need to tow a caravan

I feel the Berlingo is excellent if you get a diesel one.
I would look at the Van based MPVs
Bongo ( these are the same size foot print as an estate car so easy to park etc)
VW T4
Nissan do a very good one too
Hire one and see if it fits the bill
