Have just brought a large thomas tank pool from the elc for my sons birthday. Would take hours to inflate by puff alone! Have just been looking in argos and they have a choice of foot pump, hand pump and a small electric pump (this requires 4 large batteries) which would be best? I'm an inflating virgin so please excuse me if this is obvious! would the electric pump really be the better choice? thankyou

weve got a pump from ELC... i think it only cost about £20 and inflateed our large paddling pool in about 5 minutes.... we also use it for the ready beds!

Get a floor pump - the kind bicycle shops use, with a handle you pump up and down. No batteries required! Argos have some very cheap ones - we have just a cheapo plastic one as paddling pools easier than high pressure bike tyres. \link{http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10001&langId=-1&catalogId=4501&productId=222369\bike pump}
