what digital camcorder-cum-digital camera to buy?

thinking of getting a digital camcorder plus camera all-in-one...my current digital camera, a canon, has gone dead for some unfathomable reason and have been meaning to buy a camcorder anyway. is it better to get an all-in-one? or separate? would prefer a sony...any recommendations? nothing obscenely expensive..maybe 200 pounds ish?

i have a sony one that you can use to film as well as piccy's..its in my bag, ill see which one it is..it was £400 two christmass ago, so will be cheaper now..hnag on..
